As an Ambassador of World Peace...in Hiroshima

This year we have 2 camps at Yokohama and Hachikogen.
144 participants and 41 staff (Camp Leader & Kumon staff) start to act as Ambassadors of World Peace in their own ways.
Before the EIC, Shiho, one of the girl from Hiroshima, wrote on her entry sheet that "I want to have courage to talk to foreigners & talk about peace or war in Hiroshima Peace Park. But I don't have enough confidence to do so.

Through EIC, she got a strong confidence to speak English and to challenge new things, same as other participants of EIC. One day after EIC, she visited Hiroshima Peace Park and tried to talk to foreigners. After that, she became friends with two people from Israel!!
Shiho sent me an e-mail with a photo of the message card that she got from Israel people whom she talked with.

She told me that "Now it is not so easy for me to discuss about serious issues in English, but I will try to continue talking to many people"
I am so impressed with her positive action.Someone may say that it is a very very small thing, just only the 2or3 people became friends....But I strongly believe that this is the very important & concrete one step for the Peace.
I'm very proud of her!
If you start some action aiming for the better world, please let us know and share with EIC family members!!
